Parent Education Services

ABC Child Development Center offers Parent Education Services for families to initiate and coordinate a program at home or to learn more about best educational practice for children with autism. In this model, parents either work with the child at home and/or recruit and employ their own tutorial staff (2-4 tutors), who work with the child in his/her home and community for 20-40 hours per week.

We recommend a minimum of 4-6 hours per month of ongoing consultation for continued tutor training/evaluations, monitoring of child's program and progress, and data-based treatment adaptations. Parent Education Services are billed hourly. Most services occur at the center, but home-based visits can be arranged; hourly travel charges and mileage charges apply. Consultative appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, and families will be charged if they cancel more than twice within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment.
